The team builds their competitive programs with head coach Kaisa Arrateig’s lead together with choreographer Reija Wäre, who choreographs extensively for musicals and theatre performances, television, film and arena-gigs. This season the choreography of Helsinki Rockettes’ competitive programs takes us to a poetic journey to Lapland in their short and in their free skating the team presents the story of the Criminal.

Helsinki Rockettes is renowed for their ability to execute complex technical elements such as intersections, lifts, and synchronized spins with high precision and speed.

“We have developed this idea of a learning laboratorium, where we investigate movement, find solutions and improve skating and our programs together. I’m really happy as a coach to have all skaters take part in the process and help them to get better. They really master the art of interpretation and the team is always excited to bring something new on to the ice,” says head coach Kaisa Arrateig.

Rockettes’ dedication to excellence in skating skills and creativity has made them one of the leading synchronized skating teams globally, and they continue to inspire and set standards in the sport.

The team is celebrating its 40-years history this year 2024. This season there are 21 athletes in the team, 20 skaters from Finland and one who has moved from Sweden to skate with Rockettes.
